This is a reminder that the Jamaica Chess Federation Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the Medallion Hall Hotel, 53 Hope Road, Kingston (venue located across the street from T.G.I Fridays).
Again, I present to you the 2023 list of Nominees who are seeking election to the respective positions on the Jamaica Chess Federation National Executive Council.

This is a reminder that the Jamaica Chess Federation Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, 2023 commencing at 2:00 p.m. The venue for the meeting is the Medallion Hall Hotel conference room located at 53 Hope Road, Kingston 6. (located across the street from T.G.I Fridays Restaurant).
Please note the following:
(1) Members/Proxies in Good Standing who will be casting votes are required to take along valid forms of identification (e.g. Driver's Licence, Jamaican Voter's ID,
Passport or an ID issued by a Jamaican Government entity
(2) The deadline for submission of new membership application is Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 12:00 midnight

Recent council decisions in the jcf council meeting held on May 31, 2008
- Each organization affiliated to the jcf must have a minimum of twenty members who are also registered with the JCF.
- Affiliates must pay a fee of $10,000 per year
- All properly run tournaments held by affiliates will be rated and endorsed by the jcf
- Schools applying for group affiliation will be treated separately from corporate affiliation
- Affiliated schools will pay an annual affiliation fee of $5000 per year.
- The fee for associate members was increased to $3,000 per year
- Each member of the affiliated body registered with the JCF will receive a discount of 50 percent on their JCF membership.
- The annual membership fee for affiliate member status with the J.C.F. is $10,000
- The organization must have a minimum of twenty members to be eligible for affiliation.
- The organization must have an executive body, two of which must be a president and a secretary.
- The organization must have a secretariat and a registered office where members can pay dues, check records and make enquiries etc.
- The president of the organization must submit a written application to the secretary of the jcf with the membership fee and other documents related to the organization.
- The president of the organization applying for affiliation must submit a written register of its members who will be registered with the Jcf
- All members of the affiliated organization who are newly registered with the JCF at the time of application will receive a discount of 50 percent on their membership.
- All members of the affiliated organization who were already paidup members of the jcf before being affiliated to the organization will not have to be registered again at the time of affiliation. However, they will also not be able to obtain a discount on their existing membership.
- All members of the affiliated organization shall have the same rights and benefits of an ordinary Jcf member.
- All registered members with the JCF will receive 50 percent discount on their jcf membership.
- All properly run Tournaments by the Organization will be endorsed by the JCF and rated for free by the Jcf
- The affiliated organization will be promoted on the JCF website.
- The affiliated organization shall have power to collect membership fees and tournament entry fees on behalf of the JCF
- The affiliated organization shall be subject to rulings from the JCF executive and the Parish Chess Association in the parish where it runs a tournament and/or has its business located.
- The affiliated organization shall be responsible for maintaining a register of its JCF members and submitting the relevant monies,copies of membership fees and registration documents to the JCF
- The affiliated organization shall be responsible for conducting properly run tournaments and submitting the financials, results and all other necessary documentation on tournaments to the JCF on a timely basic
- The affiliated organization shall be responsible for paying its annual membership fee on a timely basis
- The affiliated organization shall have the right to promote the fact that it is affiliated to the JCF in the press.
