2017 FIDE WORLD YOUTH & CADETS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The World Youth Chess Championships is usually seen as the equivalent of the Olympiad for junior chess players, bringing together the best young chess players from countries all over the world.  In 2015, the tournament was split into two – World Cadets for younger players and World Youth for the older players.  Twelve World Champions will again be crowned this year.  The World Cadets is to be held in Sao Paolo Brazil, August 21 to 31, 2017 for those Under 08, Under 10 and Under 12, and the World Youth which will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, September 16 to 26, 2017, for those Under 14, 16 and 18.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION FOR WORLD YOUTH: 16th July, 2017
