UNOFFICIAL LIST OF QUALIFIERS
FOR THE JAMAICA NATIONAL FEMALE JUNIOR CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020
(January 2nd,3rd, 4th, 5th, 11th & 12th 2020 Kingston, Jamaica)

1. The following persons will qualify to play in the National Female Junior Championship which will be a twenty-four player 9 Round Swiss:

a. The defending Jamaica Female Junior Champion;(if eligible; If such a person is ineligible for any reason (including exceeding the age requirement) an additional spot (5th place) will be availableto a qualifier from the Absolute Junior Grand Prix) and the second place.

b. The winner of the Junior Grand Prix series of events (hereafter “the Grand Prix”) held in the year preceding the year of the Championship;

c. The second place finisher in the Grand Prix;

d. The third place finisher in the Grand Prix;

e. The fourth place finisher in the Grand Prix;

f. The five (5) Jamaican Junior players with the highest World Chess Federation (hereafter “FIDE”) ratings, not being any of the above-mentioned players PROVIDED HOWEVER that these five players must have played a minimum of eighteen (18) FIDE-rated games, whether locally or internationally, during the twelve month-period ending the 31st December of the year preceding the year of the Championship AND have a minimum FIDE rating of 1400.

g. Winners of the U1600 section in the Grand Prix Open Tournaments and the Winners of the Age Groups Championships, must have a minimum JCF rating of 1200.

(Note: that this is an unofficial list for information only. The Official places will be ratified by the JCF Council upon a review of the criteria and the final results, data and ratings as at Dec 31st, 2018.)
